belle glamping

the area

We are situated at the top of a mountain in West Wales three miles from the village of Ffarmers which has a pub and a community run post office. The university town of Lampeter is 20 minutes away and has supermarkets, leisure centre, swimming pool and a host of pubs and restaurants.

The surrounding countryside is great for children to explore and we have guide books to help them become more familiar with the local wildlife. There are ponds and streams where otters have been sighted and trees to climb and hills to roll down.

You can enjoy beautiful country walks, streams for paddling and  rivers for canoeing. Horse riding, cycling, hang gliding, fishing or bird watching are all available closeby. The Ceredigion heritage coastline is a short drive away with a host of gorgeous beaches perfect for boating, relaxing or learning to surf. There are also daily boat trips to see the dolphins and seals.

The Brecon Beacons with it's famous Black Mountain are within easy reach for serious walkers. There are several attractions to visit in the area including country houses, gardens, a deer park and a honey farm. There is a Roman Goldmine where you can pan for gold and enter the underground works. Denefwr Castle or the National Botanic Gardens of Wales are worth a visit. The Museum of Welsh Quilts is in Lampeter and there are several woolen mills in the area. Lampeter also has a forthnightly Saturday country market for local meat, fruit, vegetables and crafts.

The Llain activity centre an hours drive away allows the more adventurous to canoe, hare down zip wires and get more muddy than you have ever been before in all sorts of exhilarating ways.
