Situated at the top of a mountain in West Wales three miles from the village of Ffarmers which has a small pub and a community run post office. The university town of Lampeter is 20 minutes away and has supermarkets, leisure centre, swimming pool and a host of pubs and restaurants.

 

The surrounding countryside is great for children to explore. You can enjoy country walks, streams for paddling and rivers for canoeing. Horse riding, cycling, hang gliding, fishing or bird watching are all available close by.

 

The Ceredigion coastline is a short drive away with a host of gorgeous beaches. There are daily boat trips to see dolphins and seals.

 

The Brecon Beacons with its famous Black Mountain are within easy reach for serious walkers. Local attractions include: country houses, gardens, a deer park, a honey farm, a Roman Goldmine (where you can pan for gold and enter the underground works), Denefwr Castle and the National Botanic Gardens of Wales. Lampeter also has a fortnightly Saturday farmers market for local meat, fruit, vegetables and crafts.

 

For the more adventurous, the Llain activity centre (one hour drive) has canoeing and zip wires. Llanerchinda Activity Centre (30 min drive) for clay pigeon shooting, fly fishing and quad biking excursions.

 

There is also clay pigeon shooting in the forest next to us on the first Saturday of every month (book in advance).
